Club Coaching Commands

One club. One language on the pitch.

Scan!

Scan every 4–7 seconds in possession, out of possession, and during transitions. The more information you gather, the better decisions you make.

Play the Way You Face!

Play quickly in the direction you are facing whenever possible. This increases the speed of play and helps maintain possession.

Get Into Position!

Move into your correct position early. Good positioning creates better passing options, speeds up play, and reduces mistakes.

Create a Passing Lane!

Move to create a clear passing line between you and the player on the ball.

Correct Pass!

Every situation requires a different pass.

Head Up... What Do You See?

Gather information before acting and before making your decision.

Eye Contact!

Prepare your teammate to receive and coordinate movement.

Can You Play Forward?

Look forward first and break lines whenever possible.

React!

Transition immediately after winning or losing possession.

Compete!

Give maximum effort in every duel.

Breaking Lines

Breaking lines means eliminating one or more opponents to create a numerical or positional advantage.

  • Dribbling: Beat a defender with the ball.
  • Passing: Play through, around, or beyond defenders.
  • Making a Run: Move beyond the defensive line to receive in space.
