Before Practice
- Arrive on time.
- Encourage effort.
- Demand focus.
- Let your child prepare independently.
During Games
- Cheer for everyone.
- Let coaches coach.
- Respect referees.
- Stay positive.
- Avoid coaching from the sidelines.
After Games
Instead of asking: “Did you win?”
Ask:
- What did you feel you did well?
- What did you find easy, and why?
- What did you find hard, and why?
- What is one thing a teammate did well?
Parent Promise
- Encourage, not criticize.
- Support, not pressure.
- Respect coaches and officials.
- Respect every player.
- Celebrate effort more than results.
