How you can support your child
Encourage effort, not just outcomes
Ask 'What did you learn today?' instead of 'Did you win?' This matches how our coaches measure success.
Let the coach coach
During training and games, avoid giving instructions from the sideline. Mixed messages make it harder for players to make their own decisions.
Praise brave decisions
When your child tries to play forward or take a risk and it doesn't work, that is exactly what we want. Celebrate the courage, not just the result.
Model respect
Respect for officials, opponents, and teammates starts with the example set on the sideline.
Keep it enjoyable
A lifelong love of football is the goal. Support the journey of learning and improvement.
